Dr. Carol Russell was born and raised in Staten Island, New York. She is a board-certified OBGYN.  She worked in private practice from 2008 to 2015, when she decided to pursue a career as an OBGYN Hospitalist. She began working for Gennev in 2019.

Currently, she works full time as the Associate Chair of OBGYN at Staten Island University Hospital – Northwell Health, where she is involved in training residents, updating policies and directing quality improvement for the OBGYN department. Dr. Russell is married to her husband for 20 years, and has two children. Her hobbies include fitness, growing her own vegetables, and traveling.
