Gisele Thissen is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner licensed in 34 states. She is passionate about helping women navigate the challenges of perimenopause, menopause, hormonal imbalances, and sexual health so they can regain balance and vitality in their lives.
She began her healthcare journey by earning my Bachelor of Science in Nursing, cum laude, and her Master of Science in Nursing, magna cum laude, from California State University, Fresno. She spent more than a decade as a bedside nurse, specializing in obstetrics and nursery care, before transitioning to rural health clinics, where she provided comprehensive care to patients across all age groups.
For the past 14 years, she’s focused on private practice and telemedicine, specializing in women’s health, hormonal therapy, sexual health, and urgent care. Her approach is rooted in functional and holistic medicine, allowing her to address the root causes of her patients’ concerns and develop personalized care plans that meet their unique needs.
As a certified menopause provider through the North American Menopause Society (NAMS), she stays at the forefront of the latest treatments and research to deliver the best possible care. Her professional affiliations include the American Congress of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ACOG), American Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology (ASCCP), International Society for the Study of Women’s Sexual Health (ISSWSH), Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Society, Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society, and Golden Key Honor Society.
She is also fluent in Spanish, which allows her to connect with and support women from diverse backgrounds. She understand how personal and vulnerable women’s health can feel, and she strives to create a space where women feel heard, understood, and empowered.
