Joleen Bishop is a seasoned women’s health nurse practitioner with over three decades of experience dedicated to serving women’s health needs. Her expertise spans various areas including general ob/gyn care, menstrual issues, birth control, family planning, urogynecology, and intimate topics such as sex and sexuality in the context of aging. Certified as a menopause specialist, Joleen is passionate about empowering and educating women on all aspects of their health.

Throughout her career, Joleen has contributed as a co-author to a textbook, mentored nursing students as a preceptor, and authored a Master’s project focused on integrating new healthcare providers into medical practices. Her commitment to education extends to creating informative and engaging PowerPoint presentations on menopause and sexuality.

In 2023, Joleen retired from clinical nursing to pursue her passion for storytelling through her blog “No One Told Me” and “Not Your Mother’s Menopause.” These platforms allow her to share personal experiences and address common misconceptions about women’s health with accurate and insightful responses.
