Dr. Josephine Doo is a Californian native who is fellowship trained in Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery. She completed her OB/GYN residency at the University of California, San Diego. She then left her home state for the Midwest to complete her three-year fellowship training at Oklahoma University in Oklahoma City. During her time in Oklahoma, she sought out to complete her Masters in Clinical and Translational Sciences to better bridge the gap in bringing innovative and science-backed change to Women’s Healthcare.
Her research interests in Urogynecology have included optimizing postoperative analgesia after surgeries, imaging of pelvic organ prolapse and vaginal mesh with 3D pelvic ultrasonography, and analyzing associated factors that could contribute to recurrence of pelvic organ prolapse. Her research has been presented at various prestigious conferences, including American Urogynecologic Society (AUGS) and International Urogynecological Association (IUGA). She is excited to bring her research background to help improve understanding and access to Female Sexual Health and Wellness.
Dr. Doo has developed advanced skills in pelvic surgeries, including vaginal, laparoscopic and robotic techniques. She is committed to education and patient care demonstrated by numerous Teaching Awards she received throughout her training. Her dedication to advancing women’s health and her expertise in the field make her a respected leader in her specialty.
