Joanna Sattin is a psychologist in private practice in the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill Research Triangle in North Carolina. She works primarily with adults as an individual and group psychotherapist addressing a wide range of issues, to include women traversing their midlife and menopause journeys. She also offers consultation to business leaders, university administrators, deans and faculty, and behavioral health programs on issues related to mental health and relational dynamics in the workplace. Dr. Sattin received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology at Duke University, her Masters and Ph.D. at New York University, and completed her fellowship at the New York University Counseling and Behavioral Health, where she was a member of the Eating Disorders Specialty Team.
Dr. Sattin’s doctoral research looked at the connection between mental health, physical health, and the quality of relationships, and she continues to be passionate about helping people move through life transitions with a deeper connection to themselves and to others. She has worked in hospitals, schools, colleges, and clinics with an extremely diverse clientele. Dr. Sattin is fluent in both Spanish and English and conducts her sessions in both languages. Dr. Sattin lives in Chapel Hill with her family, and in her free time enjoys painting and singing in a band.
