Great for beginners and heavy cycles!

Originally reviewed on Saalt.com

Great for heavy cycles! you make your money back basically after one cycle! And there is so much less guilt about all the waste you produced during your period. Great for people who have never used a disc before! Very easy, such a relief not having to carry around products all the time!

Wow…just wow

Originally reviewed on Saalt.com

I’ve always used tampons/pads for periods but decided recently to try making a switch. Did a lot of research and so thankful to have found Saalt. I cannot believe how simple and easy everything is thanks to these discs. Were it not for bloating and period cramps, I would have forgotten I was on my period! A little bit of a learning curve, but no leaks and super comfortable. So glad to have made the switch!

Never going back

Originally reviewed on Saalt.com

I got my discs just over a year ago and they are all I reach for now. I got the bundle with the small and regular and I use both! If I have a light or even normal period I use the small, but if I'm having a heavy one or just didn't want to empty it that often I'll use the regular/ larger size. I am seriously obsessed with these. They take so much stress off of me by making it possible to go longer without having to change a tampon all the time. It does look big and intimidating but it's so easy to feel when it's in right and once it is you don't feel it at ALL. I used to get bad cramps with tampons and was assuming these might do the same but no!! I have no cramps while wearing the discs. I can attest that you can have mess free intimacy while the disc is in. My partner can feel it but he said it doesn't bother him. Unless you're disc is FULL FULL it won't leak while doing intimate things. I will say that it can be a BLOOD BATH while emptying your disc. In my bathroom I can reach the bathtub from the toilet so I pull out my disc and rinse it and reinsert it. When I'm away from my home I'll just go to the bathroom and when you pee you'll feel it release some (you have to pee HARD for it to release, think more bearing down to **** kind of feeling) and flow out the blood so I just reinsert it until I'm home and can rinse it and dump it completely again. To clean it I take a bowl and fill it with water and let it boil in the microwave for 3 minutes cause holding it in boiling water is stressful trying not to let it hit the pot to melt it anything. I find the bowl method works great. I wish I could give every woman this disc so everyone could feel as free as I do on my period because of these discs. I could not recommend them more!

MUST HAVE!

Originally reviewed on Saalt.com

This was my first time using a product like this. I've been wearing tampons for 20+ years. The Saalt Disc's are a game changer for me since I'm someone who clots regularly, which the tampons just can't absorb. This is the first period I've ever been excited about, thanks to the Saalt Disc's.

Major Game Changer

Originally reviewed on Saalt.com

I had tried the cup previously and struggled to get the right fit. I decided to try the discs and am so glad I did. I am able to keep them in for hours without worry. I recently had my cycle come back after over a year of not having one, and these have made a huge difference in my daily life. The two sizes are so convenient for different flow days/nights.

Very comfortable when in use.

Originally reviewed on Saalt.com

Very comfortable when in use. I like the notch to be able to easily remove the disk compared to other brands. However the silicone ring is softer than other brands in a way that is difficult when inserting. Other than that, it truly is a very comfortable product and has made my cycle much more comfortable!

Not a good fit for me :/

Originally reviewed on Saalt.com

I've used another brand of disc for several years and wanted to try these to see if they would stay in place a bit better to avoid leaks. Unfortunately, they don't seem to fit my own body correctly. The small one seems unable to block my flow, and the large one doesn't collapse narrow enough to fit for insertion. The material of the middle part of the disk is firmer than the other brand I've used, which makes it harder to fold up. It may work better for other people, but it didn't work for me.

Convient and easy to use

Originally reviewed on Saalt.com

Very happy with my purchase after only one cycle. Discs are both easy to insert and fit well. Large disc is sufficient for heavy flow days and does "self empty" easily which is startling the first few times. Discs seemed to turn slightly with wear but were still easy to readjust or remove without too much mess. Seems to be a great investment to replace tampons and alleviate need to change frequently on heavier days. Purchased with the sterilizer which makes the whole system very easy to use and maintain. If wearing 24hs a day may considering purchasing two sets for convenience. Getting to sink to wash is the most cumbersome part of the process.

Pretty good!

Originally reviewed on Saalt.com

The finger grip/tab gets slippery and it doesn’t give enough leverage. I have to remove the disc by the firm rim instead, so I’m docking a point. I have a high cervix so the cup gets more difficult to reach towards the end of my period. But this is only my first cycle using these and they worked really well!

Cleanest period ever

Originally reviewed on Saalt.com

I have used other brands of discs, as well as multiple menstrual cups and other reusable and disposable menstrual products. This was by far the cleanest period I have ever dealt with. Somehow, the Saalt disc in both sizes kept all the blood inside even during the removal process, so I wasn't getting blood all over myself, my hands, the toilet, etc. Truly my favorite period hygiene product I've ever used.

Disc is better tampons!

Originally reviewed on Saalt.com

As someone who hates tampons for various reasons but likes their convenience, the disc is a great replacement! It only took me one day to get the hang of it not leaking. It's comfortable. The only downside for me, which isn't a problem anymore after I figured it out, is that it 'rotates'? in me. I thought it was like turning all the way around the first couple of times so I was trying to spin it to get to the notch but it turns out it was only turning a little to the right so I'm able to get it out without trouble, but I find it weird it does that. Other than that I like the disc!

Should Have Switched Sooner

Originally reviewed on Saalt.com

As a first time disc user, I highly recommend this product. It definitely helps you get in tune and personal with your body lol. Sure comfortable and easy to use. I experienced less discomfort using this disc than I have in years with tampons. It’s easy to clean, easy to store, and it’s almost forgettable with how natural it feels once you transition. This product with definitely designed with the comfort of women in mind.

Game changer

Originally reviewed on Saalt.com

I had been using Saalt cups but with various sizes was still having leaks. I had tried a disc from the drugstore and it was totally unusable for me so I had given up on discs. Finally I decided to give the Saalt disc a try and it’s the best - I’ll never go back! No leaks, no worries, total comfort.

Have not gotten it to work yet

Originally reviewed on Saalt.com

I have not gotten it to work but I will give it a few more cycles to try. I think my cervix is low (I still don't know) so I tried the small first. I had a lot of difficulty and some discomfort putting it in. Then it got extremely stuck when it was time to get it out. I could reach the handle but it would not budge and I could not pull it out. I don't think it was stuck from making a seal, because it was still stuck even when I reached in to push in the edges. What worked after many hours later was sanitizing a metal chopstick, laying down, and pushing it in to act as a guide to get it down from my pubic bone. Right now I'm trying the regular size but I feel discomfort and pressure with it in. Wish me luck trying to get it out later. Also there's a lot of deceptively casual talk about reaching in, and inserting like its easy but for me (adult, never pregnant), its very difficult, uncomfortable, and time consuming, and you really have to dig in yourself to reach it. For me, its more difficult than using a tampon. It may be better to try a cheaper one with a handle or string first until you're more familiar with how your body handles it. I didn't because I thought I had a low cervix and was worried it would be irritating like a tampon string but its worth playing it safe and getting something else first if you are unsure like I was.

Learning Curve

Originally reviewed on Saalt.com

I have never used a disc before. Overall it worked relatively well. However, mine often went way high and it was very difficult to remove. I have a high cervix and that is apparently an issue that we can have. I'm going to try other brands that have pull strings or tabs to help with this issue. This disc did leak sometimes but I think when I got it right, it did not leak.

Never going back to paper

Originally reviewed on Saalt.com

I have never used reusable period products before but i really love the disc. I was nervous about the comfort, the fit, leaking, the mess, really everything, but it has been way easier, more comfortable and user friendly than i expected! I love that there’s no additional trash created and the steamer makes it super easy to sterilize. I don’t think I’ll ever be going back to paper products!

Best reusable disk!!!!

Originally reviewed on Saalt.com

I’ve used a few other brands trying their disks and this is by far most comfortable. I havnt seen many other make 2 sizes and the smaller one is perfect for my body. Other brands only make one size and I found them uncomfortable (too big). Paired with the sanitizer steamer it’s a match made in heaven.

Good alternative, just not for me

Originally reviewed on Saalt.com

I think the Disc option is a great alternative for those looking to have some more flexibility in insertion and I found them more comfortable than the cup. There's also to period **** option which I may use them for in future. However for me I just couldn't get over the mess that happened with occasional auto dumping (tried both sizes) when using the bathroom so I went back to the soft cup. I will add that saalt's excellent customer service and satisfaction guarantee really gave me peace of mind and will make me keep using them for all my period needs.

Great, decent learning curve.

Originally reviewed on Saalt.com

Overall I enjoyed this product, I had a minor hiccup within shipping but customer support was able to remedy that very quickly. I was excited for the smaller size as the disposable discs i’ve tried and previous menstrual cups didn’t quite sit as they should and I had leaks. This product has a learning curve for sure, an issue i’ve had is inserting and keeping the finger notch facing the front but i also had long nails preventing a good finger feel along the disc so could also be an issue from that. i had a couple issues of leaking, mostly user error, not too excessive though. it’s comfortable and easy to use, not bulky, and worked great during ****, no mess and barely noticeable during.

Delightful disc of discovery

Originally reviewed on Saalt.com

Have been using a cheaper brand for my last few periods and can honestly say it's worth spending a bit more for the quality of a Saalt disc. I haven't needed to use the larger size as yet but have it in case my period is heavier. The small one is so simple to use - I find it easier to insert and place properly with a leg up rather than sitting on the toilet. I was even confident to use the disc without having a panty liner in place once I was practiced at placement. Removal and cleaning after use is also rather straightforward. Best purchase decision I have made and wouldn't go back to any other period products. Thanks so much!

Takes a few days to get the hang of. Much easier than a cup. So far I love it. So freeing not dealing with pads or tampons.

Learning curve, but worth it

Originally reviewed on Saalt.com

Definitely a learning curve to use as a former lifelong pad girlie. I never used a disk or cup before saalt. The blue disk's band is really thick and firm so it can be hard to insert and extract it, but its large capacity and comfort once it IS installed makes up for it, it just requires some patience towards the end of the heaviest days. The peach disk is a dream in terms of insertion and extraction but I wouldnt default to it if you have a heavier flow like me. I know the price is steeper but I recommend the duo over risking a wrong guess for the right size disk for your body. Lastly, the blue disk does have a tendency to have shifted the position of the tab when its time to empty it but that may be because of user error on my part or my individual body. I've only used it for 2 cycles so far.

I also really like saalt's work in making period care better as a B corp (thats important).

Good quality

Originally reviewed on Saalt.com

Haven’t used the small size yet, but so far so good with the regular size. This is my second saalt disc. I’m not sure if they changed the design, but it does fit better. Still need a liner on my heavy days, but overall pleased.
