Sanitize your cup before first use and before or after each period. You can do this by boiling your cup, wiping with 70% isopropyl alcohol, or using the Saalt Steamer or Saalt Compact Sanitizer.
During your period, you will want to clean your cup at least once every 12 hours. You can do so by rinsing the cup with cold water (to prevent staining) and then washing the cup with hot water and Saalt Wash or another wash that is mild, pH-balanced, fragrance-free, oil-free, and rinses clean with no residue.

I’ve been using a cup (different brand) since 2017 after giving birth to my second child. I always had slight discomfort (cramping and pressure on my bladder) when wearing my cup especially on heavier days, but loved the convenience and that I wasn’t being wasteful and helping the environment. After reading different cup reviews I came across the Saalt Soft Cup...and I’m so glad I did. I’m no longer having discomfort! I’m so glad I found a more gentle alternative!

i’m finally able to try them out since they’ve arrived. i started with a honey pot cup and y out can definitely feel a difference in softness and insertion. so far i am loving the cup, now to try out my disk!

It’s my first time using the cup. The first time was a little tricky and uncomfortable to adjust to the cup, but the second or third time I found the position that worked for me to put the cup. I’m happy now! No more smelly pads!

I have used cups for more or less 5 years, and you could really see the difference of a great cup from a sub-par one. Very soft and does not leak!

I was recommended the saalt soft cup by my uncle, who told me that it would solve all my problems. His advice was right. My underpants have never been drier, and I have never been happier :)
My first order did not fit correctly (I couldn’t find it), so customer service was great in helping me get a replacement. It fits snugly and makes me think it’s all better . $

I had the normal cup and it pressed on my bladder so I switched to the soft cup. Saalt replaced it for free so I could find the cup that worked for me and I love this one doesn't. I'm very happy with the company and the product.

For context, I am autistic which means two things relevant to this discussion: 1. I read things very literally and overthink what instructions actually mean. 2. I am extra sensitive to sensory experiences, so when something is uncomfortable, I cannot ignore it.
This is my first time with anything other than pads or tampons, so it was already an adjustment experience. I read the instructions thoroughly and did okay inserting the cup, though I did have to come back and adjust it higher because it was leaking and felt uncomfortable, like I couldn't hardly move/bend over without feeling like it would pop out.
Getting it out was very challenging and stressful (which is counteractive to the idea of relaxing so it is easier to remove). I know the instructions say not to pull on the stem to remove, but that was the only way I could get it low enough to pinch. I tried using my finger to break the seal, but that just seemed to push it higher where my thumb couldn't reach. I also know the instructions say to use abdominal muscles to push it lower, but I don't understand how to physically do that (part of my autism is dyspraxia, which is basically difficulty with bodily coordination). I did pull the stem gently to bring it low enough to pinch, but it also hurt a bit removing at that point. How bad is it to pull the stem, even gently? Are there alternatives or further explanation on how to get it lower? Is the problem that I am wearing the wrong size (I got the size small)? Help would be appreciated.

I have tried every other thing to help with my period and THIS is the best one so far. I can’t feel it at all and it is super easy to insert and remove!

I found once in place, this product was very effective for all day wear; which was liberating. However, removing it was quite the challenge. The first time I almost couldn't get it out by myself & it was painful grabbing high enough inside to coax it down. Size-smallest adult size

I used to use the Saalt cup small, and it worked for a like a year but recently started leaking every time I used it so I thought I’d try a different style/size. Having the same issue though, it’s barely working at all. Can’t seem to find the right fit for me.

I first purchased this cup because the current cup I was using was too firm and also leaked. :( It was also painful to insert. This one is much softer, much more comfortable, and truly is leak proof! I initially purchased a medium based on the recommendation, but it was too big. The company sent me a size small for free and let me keep the medium, avoiding the hassle of making a return. I really appreciate the company considering the customer, and I am very happy with this product.

Saalt cups ended not being the best choice of menstrual cup/disc for me due to my high cervix and nothing attached to the cup to grab onto, but I was easily able to get store credit and try out several options without any trouble. I was scared to try these products because they're fairly expensive, but the return policy was perfect for me starting my menstrual cup journey. I currently use a different cup, but I would highly recommend Saalt as a company to anyone who's wanting to try menstrual cups for the first time and is afraid of ordering the wrong size. Great experience, and ordered period underwear to try out next month!

I have an older small salt cup and decided it was time to order another one. I got the same size small but in the soft cup. I did have a little bit more leakage with the soft cup compared to my original and ended up having to wear a liner. I think I prefer the original, but I love the colors of the new cups. I recommend these to all my friends and it’s great for when you work long shifts.

Absolutely LOVE the soft cup! I had the regular cups for years and can definitely tell a difference in comfort with the soft cup. I will never go back to paper menstrual products these are so much more comfortable and keep you clean and dry all day.

I've used a different brand period cup for many years but wanted something a little softer and heard great things about Saalt so I ordered the soft cup in regular. I tried it out and was honestly shocked that it was so uncomfortable. The first night I thought I was having mild cramps but it felt a little different than cramps, and when I took out the cup it went away. Removing the cup has actually been painful because the seal is so strong, and it felt like it was sucking my insides out -- I almost just left it in because I was scared to keep pulling on it. It's also odd that I can feel it from time to time throughout the day. I'm really bummed.

I’ve used menstrual cups for several years now. In searching for a new one, I took the quiz and was recommended the soft cup. I loved the idea but it’s too soft for me. It leaks, changes position while I’m sleeping, and pops out too easily when I use the restroom. Back to my Lena cup for now but would consider another Saalt cup in the future.

This was my first menstrual cup, and it was unfortunately not a good fit for my anatomy. Everything about it worked as described--couldn't feel it, didn't leak--but even when I positioned it lower, it would shimmy up way too high to remove easily. When I spent 10min in the shower trying every tip to get it out and panicking that I was going to have to go to urgent care to have it removed, I decided it's not for me. I have since found one that works much better for me, so if this one doesn't work for you either, keep trying! It's not the product that is bad, it's just not the right product for every body.
